We stayed at Whitewood Haven on Rocky Point Road and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect, close to everything, though honestly nothing on Norfolk Island is more than about 15 minutes away anyway. A car is definitely needed and it’s included, which is a huge plus. The car we had was a bit on the older side, but it did the job just fine. The house itself has everything you could possibly need. A fully equipped kitchen, picnic basket, esky, games, ceiling fans, plenty of space, and it’s all modern, fresh, and spotlessly clean. The house is incredibly comfortable and easy to relax in. Finding quality accomodation can be challenging when travelling around islands in the South Pacific. Whitewood is exceptional! Well appointed rooms, with everything you need for your stay, including beach towels, food containers, food wrap, bbq, beach bags with ice coolers. Everything you need for day at the beach. The furnishings are all new, and comfortable, with additional seating outside. The rooms are spacious and have been immaculately cleaned. The owner and proprietor is amazing. She met us at the airport and helped us get our car ( that was included with the rental) we then followed her back to whitewood where she showed us around and even provided a mobile phone to use on the island( local calls only no data) If all that isn’t enough she even made us coconut bread! From being met at the airport by Bec the experience has been excellent!  Taking us to the accommodation which is scrupulously clean, spacious and oh so handy to the townsite, Bec gave us a run down of the island and things to see.  The arranged hire car performed well. The house was clean and spacious. It suited our family perfectly. It is close to town and the airport. Bec was an amazing host. She organized a rental car including the car seats and was waiting at the airport to meet us. She provided a list of recommended activities, restaurants and attractions.
